PHNOM PENH: A 9-year-old girl who was brutally abused by a 37-year-old woman who supposedly was using the 9 year old as a nanny.

The 9 year old victim was looking after a 2 year old boy, who was the son of the arrested suspect.

CPU confirmed this case is a violence victim and the age of 9 years old and suspect has been arrested.

The incident happened on the night of May 23, 2022, and was posted on social media, were the Tuol Kork police arrested the female for questioning.

According to the National Child Protection Commission of the Cambodian National Council for Children (NCCC), the woman had been arrested in connection with the violence.

The NCDD National Child Protection Committee, as well as the general public, is deeply saddened and deeply sympathetic to this poor girl who has suffered so much. Inhumane and perceived as a serious violation of the rights of the child, especially the right to protection, which Cambodia has ratified and enshrined in the Constitution of the Kingdom of Cambodia.

In relation to this inhumane violence, the National Committee for the Protection of Children C, which is the coordinating body for child rights work, appeals to the authorities at all levels, especially the judiciary, to take action in accordance with legal procedures? In effect, the suspect will be severely punished so that this evil act does not happen in our society again.
